Does environment affect our buying decisions? Can marketers influence what we purchase by appealing to any of our five senses? Does ambient sound and music impact our mood in an office or store? These are questions SoundFox Radio (SFR) answers with a resounding “Yes!” In fact, the company believes so strongly in “soundscaping” that it’s going up against the 800 pound gorilla of elevator music (a term SFR eschews), Muzak—all in an effort to help businesses gain “earshare” by providing branded audio experiences to customers. Combining easy-to-install hardware with over 100 channels of real music (not the watered down instrumental remakes you’re used to hearing), and location-specific ad interstitials, the SFR solution packs a powerful—or power ballad, or contemporary, or alternative, or classic rock—punch.
SoundFox Radio came to us with an ostensibly simple request: create our online brand. Our first step was to refine and modernize an existing logo. Next, we defined the architecture and design of the site, positioning the brand to appeal to SoundFox Radio’s primary audience: automotive dealerships. The entire site was built with Joomla so that SFR would have full control over content including the demo files on the Home and Sound Samples pages.
